We looked up what 50 holiday-season items sold for on eBay between October 1 and October 30, 2026: the typical price, how many sold, and which weekday saw the most sales. Every number shows how many sales are behind it.

What stood out

21 items cover the full month. 29 cover a shorter window.

Read the sample size first. Each lookup returns up to about 240 completed sales. 21 of the 50 items fit inside that limit for all 30 days. The other 29 have a shorter window: the sample covers only their most recent days, and each row says how many.

Each column is one item; its height is the days of October its sample covers. The shorter windows run from 3 to 28 days: those items sold so fast that about 240 sales reach back only that far.

How we built it

  1. The items. We picked 50 items that sell in the holiday season across six groups: toys and games, electronics, holiday decor and collectibles, kitchen, apparel and accessories, and candles, craft and personal care. Items that had too few sales in the window were swapped for others before anything was measured.
  2. The lookup. We ran a photo of each item through Tyasi's listing scan, which writes a listing title and then pulls comparable sold prices for it. For items where the scan's long title returned few or no sales, we ran the same lookup with a plain item phrase (for example "Dyson Supersonic hair dryer"). The phrase used is the item's search term, so a number describes that kind of item on eBay, not the one in the photo.
  3. The data. Sold prices come from eBay's public sold listings, collected on October 30, 2026 for the last 30 days, which is October 1 to October 30. No seller accounts, private data or buyer information were used. Prices are the item price shown for the sale, before shipping.
  4. The median. The median of the sales in the sample, after Tyasi's lookup removes extreme outliers. A median is the middle price, so a few very high or very low sales do not move it.
  5. Sell-through. Sold listings in the sample divided by sold plus the listings active on eBay for the same phrase when we looked. It is a rough measure: eBay does not publish unsold-listing counts, and a broad phrase counts unrelated active listings.
  6. Best listing day. The weekday on which the most of an item's sold listings were recorded as sold. It tells you when buyers bought, which is a guide to when to have a listing live, not a guarantee.
  7. Limits. Each lookup returns up to about 240 sales, so the fastest sellers show their most recent days only. These are one month of sales for one marketplace. This is a snapshot of October, not a forecast for November or December, and not advice on what to buy.
