How much do eBay Promoted Listings cost?
The Promoted Listings ad fee is the ad rate you set, charged on the total sale when the promoted item sells within 30 days of a click on your ad. On a $50.00 sale a 5% ad rate is $2.50, taking profit from $21.80 to $19.30.
How the ad fee works
With a general strategy campaign you set an ad rate. You pay it only when the promoted item sells within 30 days of a click on your ad (eBay counts watching, adding to cart or a quick view as a click). The fee is the rate times the total amount of the sale, including shipping the buyer pays and sales tax, and it is charged on top of the final value fee. Reading the table
The ad fee comes out of profit dollar for dollar. At 10% the ad fee is $5.00 on this sale, 22.9% of the $21.80 profit you would make with no ad. The sums only help if the ad brings a sale you would not otherwise have made, which this page cannot know for your listing.
